Midwesterners experienced an unusual winter in 2017. The average temperature for February was in the 60s. This was true even in parts of the upper midwest. It is not surprising that some people’s thought turned towards hitting the nearest lake, or “beach” as people from this region insist on calling it. With temperature like that in February, it should not be long before these regions reach comfortable swimming temperatures. Everyone else is wondering if they can achieve their goals by the time May rolls around. At least those who do not live in normally warmer areas wonder this Everyone else has hit the beach already.
If someone has started reading this in the winter months, the answer is yes. A person can safely lose 25-30 pounds in the middle of February or sooner. Setting the same goal in mid-March might not be ideal. It is a dangerous goal for someone to set in April. If someone is confused, they may need to see the guidelines on setting safe weight loss goals. As with any other reason to drop pounds, weight loss is best obtained through a combination of diet and exercise. Do not forget to add the rest days in, either.
If someone has not done so already, she may wish to join a gym. If she has done so after January, she can avoid the rush. The weight rooms and the cardiovascular rooms often empty out after the first month of the year. New Year’s resolutions are a great thing, but few people live up to them long term. The nice thing about fitting into a certain outfit is that it is easier to stay motivate for a short time than it is for a long one. Remember to check the scale regularly and someone who wants to fit into a swimsuit should achieve that goal soon.
